Texas Businesses for Clean Air

Providing volunteer support for environmentally-important projects is one of the missions of the EverGreen Land Co. Helping spotlight the need for clean air is one of those projects.

In 2006, the CEO of EverGreen Land Co. became involved as a member of the advisory board of an organization called Texas Businesses for Clean Air (TBCA). The purpose of TCBA is to help improve the quality of the air in Texas. The initial focal issue for the group of business leaders who formed TCBA is the plan by the state’s largest electric utility, TXU, to build a large number of pollution-emitting, coal-fired electric plants.

Through the efforts of TCBA and others, the plan to build these plants has been dramatically scaled back and may even be eliminated. EverGreen Land Co. intends to maintain an ongoing connection to TCBA as it continues its mission to fight for clean air.
