River Glen

River Glen is a riverfront, residential community being developed on the banks of the largest free-flowing river in Texas, the Paluxy River. Within the river bottom of the Paluxy are the tracks of actual dinosaurs, saved by the limestone river-bottom from millennia ago.

Directly across the river from the home sites is a sheer vertical rock face plunging 30 feet to the river bottom. The feeling of being in the Texas Hill Country is complete.

Without dam control, heavy rains bring out the kayakers for a wild ride on the river. Tubing and other river activities are popular in the area. A fly-fishing school often resides just downstream from River Glen.

The model home is being built to blend in with the natural setting. All the significant trees were saved in the development, providing shade from the torrid Texas summer heat. Several tree wells were built to help preserve these trees. Hundred year old Live Oaks are the most common variety of trees.
